1) MEET WITH THE MEMBERS OF THE ORGANIZING COMMITTEE.
They will meet with you away from the work site. The organizing committee will explain the process, cost and benefits of union membership. Listen carefully to what they have to say. They will tell you how to become union members with no hassle.
2) SIGN THE AUTHORIZATION CARD FOR REPRESENTATION UNDER THE NATIONAL LABOR RELATIONS ACT.
This card is totally confidential. It’s your ticket to being more than merely “an employee at the will of the company.” It will change your workplace for the better and give you a solid contract with the company.
3) GET THE WORD OUT.
Tell your friends. Get them involved. It is important to get everyone involved in joining the union. It is your insurance policy to a better workplace.
