Realizing that we are much stronger in numbers, in 2000, we formed an unprecedented alliance with NABET-CWA Local 16 and IBEW Local 1212. This alliance, The “Broadcast Union’s Resource for Specialized Training,” or “BURST” was formed in order to further our commitment to training. By forming this alliance, we are better able to show the various government agencies to which we are applying for grant money, our cooperation and dedication to training. This alliance puts forth a great show of our strength as the represented employees of the television industry. Our various employers will certainly take notice!

In the years to come, we will work together to continue to build upon the foundation we have laid for this training initiative.
