Local 11 Retirement Benefits: Active members who retire from a Local 11 represented shop can apply to the Executive Board for Local 11 Retirement Benefit. The benefit is equal to $25 for each year the retiree was a member of NABET/CWA Local 11 with a cap of $500.
Member Assistance Program: A confidential referral service for members who need help with a personal or substance abuse problem. Call the local office, or talk to your union representative about contacting one of Local 11's certified counselors.
Local 11 Death Benefit: A benefit paid to Local 11 member's beneficiary in the event of the member's death. The benefit equal is to the sum of $1000. The Death Benefit is not payable if the member has already received the Retirement Benefit from Local 11. Call the Local 11 office for information, or to update your beneficiary information. Members should make sure their beneficiary information on the file at the local office is current and correct..
Local 11 Scholarships: A grant of $500, per year for 4 years to help members defray the cost of college for themselves or their children. A limited number of scholarships are available each year. Recipients are selected by lottery during the Annual Local 11 Shop Stewards Dinner in March. Call the Local 11 office for details on how to apply.
